Relationship Helt

WELCOME. This is an exciting time for me and my family. I am trying out private practice. I have been working with families, couples, and individuals at a County contracted agency for several years and wanted to work with families in my own community. This newsletter is not only a welcome newsletter but I want this to be a resource of information. My personal goal is to update the newsletter monthly but that is a goal and not set in stone. The topic I want to discuss is couples and not problematic couples but successful couples.

WHAT SUCCESSFUL COUPLES? Yes, successful couples, there are tons of you guys out there and some are my friends and family. If I had permission, which I don't, I would name some of the couples that should be celebrating their martial success. Now when I say successful couples I do not mean PERFECT COUPLES. That I have not met!! Successful couples are the couples that have stayed together and have made there relationship work for them and their families.

Let's face, problems in marriage exist!! I know that is a shocking statement but seriously problems and stresses in a relationship is a normal part of life, but how we handle them can be the difference of a successful couple or a couple that falls apart. Understand that to be a successful couple is not necessarily depends on the couple being the happiest couple at any given time but regardless of issues surrounding them a "successful" couple is committed to growth and to the ideas of family.
CELEBRATE. My advice, celebrate your success in love and marriage not only on your anniversary but at the dinner table daily. REJOICE, that your love and commitment to one another is still growing and that regardless of circumstance that you chose family and love.
