How do you care for yourself?

Many of us in this fast-paced, work-driven culture forget to take time for ourselves emotionally and physically. In my opinion, many unnecessary illnesses and injuries occur (and I know about this firsthand from previous experience). I invite you today to think about your self-care strategy and how you make time for yourself in the midst of all the demands and responsbilities that are placed on you.

1. Who are your go-to people to lean on and bring you out of bad moods?

2. What do you do for stress reduction and relaxation?

3. When is the last time you took a whole day and did exactly what you wanted?

4. What are at least 2 you can say no to now to take the load off your shoulders?

5. What thinking patterns do you engage in that add to your stress?

The last question is an important one, because sometimes we take bad situations and make them much worse with distorted thinking. If you have questions or concerns about your thinking patterns and how they may contribute to stress in your life, it's a good idea to consult a professional therapist.

I hope these questions direct your attention to caring for yourself and that you use them to help design a stress management program that works wonderfully for you. May peace reign supreme for you!
