A curious, proud father

I have a 5 yr old boy and a 3 yr old girl. They're awesome. I'm curious why their eating habits aren't more similar.

The only vegetable my boy will eat is a steamed artichoke (and a raw carrot once in a while).

My girl, however, will eat practically anything. She'll even eat a full salad with all the veggies you can imagine (even mushrooms). She likes the steamed artichokes too.

Does anybody out there have any insight into why my kids' appetite for veggies is SO different?
