Preventive Care Saves Money at Champlin Family Dental

In this economy, it may be easy to cut one's budget in areas that are not screaming for attention, like professional dental care.
"The tooth doesn't hurt" or "It's just a cleaning" are common sayings heard by front office staff each day, as appointments are canceled due to the cost and the desire to save money. But wait! Think again.. It may be wiser to be preventive in these trying financial times. As Grandma used to say "an once of prevention...".

If one wanted to save money it would be best to go ahead and call to schedule a dental checkup and use that once of prevention. Why not keep those gums clean before the disease sets in? Perio care can be very expensive. While your Dental Hygienist is cleaning your teeth, she is also checking them for areas of concerns, cracks and fractures. At the initial start, a filling may be able to take care of the problem, but wait until it progresses and cracks or a portion breaks off and the cost of the care rises...alot!

With all the company closings and employee lay-offs on the nightly news, it is easy to think about today and not worry about tomorrow but thinking with a preventive frame of mind is the key to long term savings. Taking advantage of insurance benefits while they are still available and getting that preventive care completed will help keep dental care costs affordable. Not to mention the extra "perks" that comes along with a brighter smile and fresher breath!
