Is it really the best medicine?

By Dr. Michael Weir

"Dad always thought laughter was the best medicine, which I guess is
why several of us died of tuberculosis."
~Jack Handey, "Deep Thoughts," Saturday Night Live

Laughter is such an important part of health! It brings balance
to the immune system, and reduces certain stress hormones in the
body, as well as a whole host of other positive health benefits.
Research has found that laughing 100 times is equal to ten minutes
on the rowing machine, and 15 minutes on the exercise bike.
So the punch line is, find a reason to laugh everyday. It's as
least as good as your store bought multi-vitamin and a whole lot
more fun to take!
