Why Wearing a Bra Probably Isn’t Healthy Comments

When I was younger and tiny I'd go braless and loved it. At 43 I married a man with a son. For the next 13 years I had to wear the bra at work and then home because of his son. Then menapause hit and they got huge. Don't like bras, but still working so I need to.. But if no one is over, once I get home, the girls come out to play. I'm all about the freedom.

I was diagnosed with breast cancer 12 years ago. I don't know if my rare use of a bra contributed to it. However, I do believe that lymph nodes being constricted by a bra is a very valid concern. Today, I go braless. I find them (even the most "comfortable" ones) so very confining and uncomfortable. I believe it is a personal choice and if a woman decides to wear one, more power to her. I. just. can't.

I prefer going braless...and commando. The only time I wear a bra is to work or to meetings, or with anything that nips might show through. I would prefer to just cover the nips than wear a bra.

I am a 51 year old who has been bra-less most of my life. When I was a 9-5er I wore one everyday. However, come 5 o'clock and my bra would, more than likely, be on the seat before I was out of the parking lot!!! I have been blessed with small breasts UNTIL the big 'M' (menopause). I don't sag and now my a-bit-fuller 'ladies' look good whether in or out of confinement. I still prefer and can be caught bra-less EVERY day and MOST days ALL day! If you haven't tried it I totally recommend you do--BE FREE LADIES!!

At age 60, I've just recently found a bra that is super comfortable, not padded AND has underwires on the outside of the bra. I stumbled upon this bra by accident when I was shopping on the internet for a sports bra that would keep my girls from flopping up and down when running and not feel like I was wearing some kind of depression device which I've experienced with some sports bras. I'm not trying to advertise but the bra is sold as a sports bra and is made by Wacoal. It doesn't even feel like I'm wearing a bra. My female ob/gyn doctor recommends women wear a good supportive bra. Personally, I think it's a personal choice. I wouldn't even consider wearing a bra to bed and enjoy the freedom of going commando when I'm lounging around the house.

I only wear a bra when I go out. The rest of the time I go braless. They are just too uncomfortable.

I'm so so happy, only one time in my entire life, 62 years old now, very small girl all over, wore a bra when pregnant, now don't feel bad after reading this article I did the right thing:)

I'm 55 and a 36ddd. Not wearing a bra makes my girls ache and hurt. It makes my nipples sore and strains my upper chest muscles. Not to mention my back hurts too! The discomfort from bra straps is nothing compared to the discomfort of going bra-less. And perky girls at my age is a plus! My mother 80 also has perky girls and sleeps in her bra!

Study out of Canada showed women who used electric blankets had a higher rate of breast cancer. Heat or magnetic fields? Another study showed women with implant had lower rate of breast cancer ( less heat because separates breast from body heat?). Gene
