Dr. Kropf is an Active Member of the American Chiropractic Association and the ACA Sport Council. As previously mentioned, Dr. Kropf is also a Certified Provider of Active Release Techniques (A.R.T.), a soft tissue management system ideal for the treatment of sports injuries, overuse injuries and nerve entrapments. Soft tissue injuries occur due to repetitive stress (throwing, golfing, computer work, assembly line). When muscles or other soft tissues are overused they become short and tight creating a loss of oxygen to the tissue (muscle, nerve, tendon, or ligament). This causes the formation of dense scar tissue and adhesions. Unfortunately, the body cannot remove the scar tissue on its own. Active Release Techniques is proven, highly successful therapy to effectively health these injuries without surgery and loss of work. Ninety percent of all professional sports team, including the NFL, NBA, NHL and Major League Baseball utilize the services of an A.R.T. certified practitioner.
