My passion is helping individuals with problems related to their own drug or alcohol use, or such use by someone they care about. I have a Juris Doctor degree, a Master of Science degree in counseling, and am a Maryland licensed clinical alcohol and drug counselor (LCA 280) with 31 years experience and 34 years of personal recovery.I was Director of Treatment at two residential treatment programs and was the Chief Substance Abuse Counselor and Program Coordinator of the Chemical Dependency Unit at the Sheppard Pratt Health Systems in Baltimore Maryland for four years. I have been Director of Loyola University in Maryland’s Alcohol and Drug Education and Support Services for the past 21 years, providing education and treatment services as an addictions counselor to graduate and undergraduate students. I am also an affiliate professor in the Psychology Department of Loyola University, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in drug and alcohol addictions. I have a private practice as an addictions counselor in addition to my online addictions counseling services. I am a member of the Licensed Clinical Professional Counselors of Maryland.

I own an online business, AlcoholDrugSOS Services, Ltd., where I provide ONLINE and telephone addictions services so that individuals can access help for drug or alcohol problems in the comfort and privacy of their own homes or wherever their computers or telephones are located.

I offer recovery help through my Daily Alcoholism Addiction Recovery Tips that will be emailed to the recovering individual for a year at less than seven cents a day. I based the Tips on my experience of 31 years counseling alcoholics and addicts and on my 34 years of personal recovery using the 12 Step programs.

Professional services include online DUI alcohol evaluations, same day answers to questions, recovery help or coaching for the recovering individual or significant other, help for seniors with drug or alcohol problems, and help for members of the military or veterans with such concerns.
