I completed my doctorate in Counseling from Texas A&M University-Commerce, and my master’s in Counseling and Human Development from Texas Woman’s University. The focus of my studies has been on children and adolescences, play therapy, parenting, group therapy, and multicultural/diversity issues.
I have a private practice in Woodstock providing individual, group, couples and family therapy, parenting, and play therapy. In the past, I worked as a professional counselor in community settings (hospital, clinics, juvenile detention, and rehab centers) providing individual, group, and family therapy. I also worked in school settings (elementary and middle schools) providing play and group therapy, as well as parenting and teacher consultation. I am actively serving on committees in professional organizations both on a state and national level, and presented on both levels.
