Dr. Michael Swafford

Dr. Swafford is a 1999 graduate of the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology located in Springfield, Missouri. Dr. Swafford was granted the Doctor of Psychology- Clinical (Psy.D.). He holds a Masters Degree from Northeastern Oklahoma State University. Dr. Swafford has been in the mental health field for more than 20 years.
A former Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Swafford has an interest in chemical abuse and dependency. A Licensed Professional Counselor in Oklahoma since 1991. As a generalist, Dr. Swafford sees a wide variety of clients/patients in his office. Although he has several sub-specialities such as drug/alcohol recovery, anxiety disorders, depressive disorder, ADHD in adults, couples in distress, he enjoys seeing all types of individuals. He generally restricts his practice for ages 13- 75+, in certain conditions he will see children younger than 13 years of age. Dr. Swafford is currently accepting new patients.
