Dr. Luong grew up in San Jose, California. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of California, Riverside and attended medical school at St. Matthew’s University, where he received a scholarship. He completed his Family Practice Residency at McLaren Regional Medical Center (Michigan State University affiliate) in Flint, Michigan. Dr. Luong served as chief resident during his residency. Following that, he became an assistant attending professor for the Family Practice Residency Program. He received a faculty teaching fellowship at the University of Michigan- Ann Arbor. Dr. Luong received numerous accolades and honors. His interests include geriatrics, musculoskeletal injuries, dermatology, and women’s health. He is a member of the American Geriatric Society and the American Academy of Family Practice.

Dr. Luong is fluent in English and Vietnames and has working knowledge of Spanish.
