I’ve been living and practicing in the Rogue Valley since 1989.I’ve lived mostly in Ashland, and practiced mostly in Medford.
I grew up in New York and Connecticut and went to chiropractic college in Chicago, and graduated in 1986.
Professionally, my main approach to chiropractic emphasizes low force adjusting techniques, meaning no "popping" of joints, in addition to conventional "popping" techniques. I also emphasize helping patients discover what’s causing their health challenge and how to fix it, vs. just treating the symptoms.I get people out of pain as quickly as possible, and teach them how to prevent the problem from returning. I help people to look at their lifestyle, their exercise, sleep habits, posture, and stress levels.I incorporate core stability strength and stretching exercises into the rehabilitation phase of care to correct the factors that are underlying the condition, resulting in lasting pain relief and increased wellness and levels of health.
In my Medford office I work with several massage therapists and do various deep tissue massage techniques myself, which gets people out of pain much more quickly, and speeds recovery <url removed> also feels fantastic, and is a wonderful stress-reducer.(see <url removed> for info on Jamey Kirschel's massage practice)
My main philosophy in life is that learning to love as much as possible is the main reason we’re all here, and to treat everyone as I want to be treated, with respect, patience, and an open heart.
