I have been a practicing therapist for 10 years and working with students for the most of my adult life. My career has focused on helping clients find meaning in their lives, heal trauma, improve relationships with self and others, create balance and chart a course for the future. But the most important part of my work is helping clients learn how to embrace the moment.
As a therapist, my work is grounded in a strength based, feminist and multicultural framework. Understanding the context of personal challenges helps us reach that non judgmental place and can be an empowering part of the healing process.
Exploring the intersection of mind, body and spirit are also an important part of therapy. I have found that greater awareness of this intersection is the key to mindful living. Energy focused on the past often leads to regret and depression. Energy focused on the future often leads to fear and anxiety. A present moment focus opens the door to more intimate connections, greater awareness and joy!
