we are a very prominent family living in Farmington Valley. We brought our little girls to an orthodontist, a Dr. Barry Rosenberg, in Canton. He was nice, but a little annoying as he would always be bragging about some high-end restaurant in Manhattan he just went to, or something he just purchased. But his work was fine, so we kept going, plus it was the only ortho in the area that took our insurance, even though the insurance paid only 1/10 of the 12K we would eventually pay to Dr. Rosenberg.
We own our own businesses, and there are ups and downs. We owed a small percentage of the 12K we had paid him already, and were late on our final payment.

The first warning sign that this was not an "ordinary" practice was when we were told that our little girl’s braces would be left on until we paid our entire balance! Basically they were saying that they would ruin our children’s oral well being and health until we paid them - the worst kind of blackmail ever! Then they took us to court for the small balance, which still to this day, even though we paid the full balance, has ruined our credit.

We would like to bring people’s attention to this practice, and the way they do business. Before you sign a contract with them, look up this web page to see how many times they have sued their patients... over 173 times as of October 2009!
