Dr. Stephen L. Tyks was a Marine Engineer having graduated from Maine Maritime Academy. After experiencing wide ranging health improvements with chiropractic he enrolled at University of Maine pre-med prior to Life University School of Chiropractic where he graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1986. Since graduating, Dr. Steve has achieved advanced certifications in Sports and Industrial Injury Rehabilitation, Acupuncture with additional expertise in Applied Kinesiology, Cranial Sacral Adjusting, Extremity Adjusting, Animal Companion Adjusting, Herbal Prescriptions, Orthomolecular Medicine and Nutrition. Dr. Steve recently completed 325 hours with Carrick Institute in Functional Neurology, a unique application of neurology resulting in better overall brain/nerve/body function and health including children on the autism spectrum, post CVA (stroke) rehabilitation, elderly fall prevention and more. Board Eligible, Diplomate Functional Neurology.
Interests: Dr. Tyks is and expert skier but has many sport interests, most recently. swimming in relay team triathlons with good results. His Advantage Chiropractic team took first place in the Lake George Sprint Triathlon 2013. Dr. Tyks has interests in community theater and stage work as well.
