Dr. Lyon was born and raised in San Bernardino, California. He is married to Shirley. They are both "born-again" Christians. While serving in the US Air Force, Dr. Lyon completed his BA in Business Administration at Kansas Newman College in Wichita, KS, and pre-chiropractic curriculum at Wichita State. After retiring from the US Air Force in 1980, he attended Palmer Chiropractic College in Davenport, Iowa. Following graduation in March 1983, they moved back to San Bernardino, CA. Upon receiving his state license, they began practice in May 1984, in Highland, CA. In 1989 they bought and remodeled the now 90 year-old, "Woll" family home into their present office location. Dr. Lyon is a member of the Christian Chiropractors Association and the California Chiropractic Association. Dr. Lyon utilizes the "Palmer Package" of adjusting techniques including Gonstead and Diversified full-spine techniques. Dr. Lyon is a certified Industrial Disability Evaluator as well as being a fully qualified extremity adjustor, which means he adjusts ears, TMJ, shoulders, elbows (tennis elbow or lateral epicondylitis), wrists, thumbs, fingers, hips, knees, ankles (primarily involves the talus bone), and toes. He also adjusts hiatal hernias and the ileocecal valve. He is a provider on numerous PPO health care plans (including many Workers' Compensation plans), is a Medicare provider, and cares for victims of auto accidents, and other personal injuries. Dr. Lyon also adjusts children and pregnant mothers.
