Beverly is a successful nutritionist in a part-time private practice in Glen Rock, NJ with over 25 years of experience working with adults, teens, and children. In addition, Beverly is a full-time Diabetes Educator for a disease management company based in California and is presently working for a client, a large Union in Manhattan, delivering diabetes education for their members.
Beverly is a Registered Dietitian and Certified Diabetes Educator. As a dietitian and diabetes educator, Beverly has counseled people with diabetes, gastrointestinal disorders, and cardiovascular disease, as well as for weight loss and general wellness. She has traveled extensively and lived in Latin America and offers her bi-lingual (Spanish) and cross-cultural skills to the Spanish-speaking community. In her private practice, she offers Medical Nutrition Therapy that is designed to improve the client’s relationship with food and with self. Healthy nutrition is emphasized, with disease treatment and prevention incorporated.
Beverly serves on the professional council for dLifeTV and she shares her expertise with the dLife on-line community as she fields user questions and brings her own wisdom to the job of successfully managing diabetes. She was the 2005 Women’s History Month Honoree for the 35th district receiving Legislative District, senate & congressional recognition for community service. In addition, Beverly is the Coordinator for the Garden State Association of Diabetes Educators Northern Affiliate. Beverly is a member of the American Dietetic Association as well as the Garden State Association of Diabetes Educators and the American Association of Diabetes Educators.
