James (Jamie) Copaken is a psychotherapist, working in private practice with children, adults, couples and families. He has helped people work through a wide range of difficulties, including peer and family conflict, divorce, depression, and anxiety. As one of the few male therapists, he also focuses on issues affecting men and boys – including bullying, anger management, and communication. He has worked for more than 16 years in schools, mental health clinics, and addiction clinics in New York, Philadelphia, Dallas, and has recently returned to Kansas City, his hometown.
