I am experienced and well-respected clinical and forensic psychologist. I graduated with an honors Bachelor of Science degree (B.Sc. Hons.) in Psychology from Birkbeck, University of London, in London, England. Prior to that, I studied at the University of Toronto in Toronto, Canada. I earned both my Master of Arts degree (M.A.) and Doctor of Philosophy degree (Ph.D.) in Clinical Psychology from the well-respected California School of Professional Psychology, Los Angeles.
In addition to the above, I sought additional postgraduate training and have received a Certificate in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy from the Wright Institute, Los Angeles and a Certificate in Child Abuse and Trauma from the Family Stress Center, Child and Family Guidance Center, both highly respected postgraduate training facilities. Apart from my psychotherapy practice, which includes individual, couple and family psychotherapy with children, adolescents and adults, I have also developed expertise in psychological testing and provide thorough evaluations and comprehensive, well-written reports for both forensic and educational purposes.
I have conducted forensic evaluations in numerous civil litigation matters and have served as an expert witness in personal injury cases specific to psychological trauma, sexual abuse/assault, foster care abuse and childhood abuse matters. I have also conducted forensic evaluations in child custody cases and pre-adoption matters.
For several years, I have provided psychoanalytically informed clinical supervision to Master’s and Doctoral level psychology interns and licensed psychologists for various community organizations including The Maple Counseling Center, Valley Community Center and The Children’s Psychotherapy Project - A Home Within. I have also previously served as a Senior Clinical Supervisor and Post-doctoral Training Coordinator at the Family Stress Center, Child and Family Guidance Center.
I have lectured on various topics at many organizations throughout Los Angeles and have appeared on both radio and television as an expert on various psychological issues.
