By providing a safe and non-judgmental environment, I will help you heal your past, shape your future and live more fully in the present. I will encourage you to go outside of your comfort zone so you can identify and stop repeating old patterns. I work from a relational psychodynamic perspective, which explores the relationships you have with others as well as the relationship that you and I will share over the course of therapy. I have extensive experience in treating depression, life transitions, anxiety, relationship & family issues, loss & trauma and sexual abuse.
I am a Bilingual/Bicultural therapist, with extensive experience in Mexico City and Los Angeles, which makes me uniquely qualified to work with those facing the challenges and struggles of acculturation and adjusting to major life transitions (moving to a new country or city, change in job or family structure).
A special area of interest for me is helping patients cope with the aftermath of growing up with divorced or absent parents. Specifically the impact this has on developing trust in relationships.
