Dr. David Kroessler is originally from Garden City, NY and trained in psychiatry as a resident psychiatrst at SUNY/Stony Brook University Hospital. Since then he did Geriatric Psychiatry Fellowship with Brown University School of Medicine at Rhode Island Hospital. He was later added to the faculty of Brown University as an Assistant Professor. He has been on staff at Rhode Island Hospital, the Prov VAMC, Kent Hospital, Eleanor Slater Hospital, and is currently Chief of Psychiatry at Roger Williams Medical Center in Providence. He founded Angell Street Psychiatry, a private practice group, in 1993 which currently has 27 cinicians and operates out of four offices.
