I was born and raised in Caracas Venezuela where I went to law school for 3 years before coming to the USA to find my new home.
My first Yoga experience was with my mom. I remember she was always reading inspirational books and was practicing yoga and meditation. She tried to share her practice and knowledge with me and my brother (many times we would fall sleep while she meditated).
In early 2004 I found the healing power of Yoga when I needed it the most, helping me heal physically as well as emotionally.
My passion for Yoga carried over into teaching. I started my first 200 hrs of Yoga Training in 2005. In October 2006 I had the wonderful opportunity to go to a Yoga conference where I deepened my love for this practice. I continued to study by participating in a number of workshops that include renowned Yogis such as Seane Corn, Desiree Rambaugh, Judith Lasater, Shiva Rea, Ana Forrest, Rodger Cole, Rod Stryker and Twee Merrigan.
During 2007 and 2008 I had the honor to study and finished an advanced yoga certification under world wide known yoga Teacher Shiva Rea and I became one of the few teachers in the DFW area to teach this wonderful style of yoga.
In 2009 I began assisting her during her different teacher trainings and workshop throughout the country.
Some of my certifications are:
~ E-RYT 500 Experienced Registered Yoga teacher under Yoga Alliance Yoga. The highest level currently offered through Yoga Alliance.
~ Over 150 hrs of additional Yoga Training and certifications.
~ SCW Mat Pilates Instructor Certification
~ Pre and Post Natal Yoga Teacher certification through Yoga Therapy
~ Relax and Renew Restorative Yoga Teacher Certification with Judith Lasater
~ Adaptive Yoga Teacher certified (special classes for Multiple Scleorosis, fibromyalgia, cancer, etc)
In 2007 I was selected as one of the ambassadors for Lululemon, a yoga/pilates clothing company. I am a model for Hip to Bamboo a yoga clothing company (you can see me in their add feature in Yoga Magazine), an ambassador for Manduka Yoga Mats and I am futured in the <url removed> newsletter as the Yogini of the month for June 2008.
