KATHERINE CROW is a movement educator and practitioner of neuromuscular therapy and massage therapy who has taught Classical Ballet, Modern Dance, Choreography, Body Mechanics and Body Awareness Movement Exercise for over 28 years in Spokane, WA. Her core-based movement curriculum is grounded in the technical classical forms she has practiced since childhood that have evolved into the wellness/fitness studies and model taught at SIMS. The relationship between breath and awareness is at the heart of this dynamic integrated approach to the wellness process. The ultimate goal is conscious wholeness through harmonious balance and fluidity of the physical, mental and emotional aspects of being. Katherine was the founder and artistic director of Columbia Ballet Theatre and Columbia Ballet, a school and performance company for children and young adults in Spokane from 1980-2005, co-founder and artistic director of Namaste Modern Dance Theatre from 1985-1990 and Assistant Director of On Stage! through WSU/Spokane, Washington Institute for Mental Illness Research and Training from 1997-2006.
