Carl W. Buckhorn, M.D. is co-Director of IM: Center for Integrative Medicine (www.im-cim.com). He is a pioneer in the field of Mind/Body medicine as a means of promoting optimum health.
Dr. Buckhorn has practiced Internal Medicine for over 15 years. During this time, he personally developed a unique practicing style that integrates the best of modern western medicine with time-honored healing practices.
From May 1993 to June 1996, he worked for the St. Jude Heritage Health Medical Group in Placentia, California and from July 1996 to September 2001, he worked for the Internal Medical Group in Placentia, California. Dr. Buckhorn served in the Quality Assurance Committee for St. Jude IPA from 1994 to 1996. He was Chief of Medicine at St. Jude Medical Center, Fullerton, California from December 1995 to December 1996.
Dr. Buckhorn graduated from the University of California, San Francisco, School of Medicine in 1989. He completed his residency and internship in Internal Medicine at St. Mary Medical Center/UCLA School of Medicine in 1993. He graduated from the University of California, Berkeley with a B.S. in Biochemistry in 1985. He participated in the Health Professions Summer Program at Harvard University in 1984.
Dr. Buckhorn received his spiritual training at the Southern California Psychic Institute, Anaheim, California, the seminary of the Church of the Rose. It was there that he learned the energy healing techniques he incorporates into his medical practice.
