My special interests include the treatment of the difficult, complex and salvage patients. My residency training at the Washington Hospital Center, a busy level 1 trauma center in Washington DC, included a strong emphasis on reconstructive surgery, maxillofacial trauma, management of cleft lip and palate patients, implant surgery, complex tooth extractions and corrective jaw surgery. I am also trained in the management of anxious patients. I have extensive anesthesia experience which allows me to provide care in a gentle caring manner.
Hometown: San Diego, CA United States
Occupation: Oral Surgeon
Interests: The wealth of knowledge I have gained in surgery arises from managing patients referred for advanced care. In post dental school training, I managed over 5,000 patients. I am up to date with the latest treatments in oral and maxillofacial surgery. I have managed patients for the world famous Washington Heart Institute, which treats the most difficult cardiac patients in the United States. I have traveled extensively to learn, teach, and perform oral and maxillofacial surgery. My surgical trips include Tanzania, Philippines, Belgium, and Taiwan. In 2008, I was awarded the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons Resident Leadership and Community Service Award, for my recent teaching trip to Tanzania, Africa.
I have a passion for sharing my wealth of knowledge. In addition to my recent volunteer teaching position in Tanzania, I teach for Progressive Dentistry and Progressive Orthodontics.
