I am licensed in both Marriage and Family Therapy as well as Professional Clinical Counseling with a MA degree in Clinical Psychology that focused on transpersonal/holistic studies. I consider each facet to a person (biological, psychological, social, spiritual) and how they combine to create the authentic Self. In doing so, clients are able to gain a clearer sense of who they are and where they want or need to go in life.
Hometown: San Jose, CA USA
Occupation: Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist
Interests: Therapy can be an effective way to work through challenges and realize your true path. In our work together, we would aim to increase your quality of life through developing a trusting alliance between us, addressing your needs, defining your goals, removing any unhelpful blocks, building healthy coping skills that work for you, and improving how you relate to yourself and others. It is my goal to provide a safe, nurturing environment for clients.
My focus is on providing emotional support for women and couples before, during, and after pregnancy. This includes infertility, miscarriage grief, body image, labor anxiety, life transitions, parenting, self-care, and partner communication. I also work with individual adults suffering from depression, low esteem, daily stress, social anxiety, phobias, chronic worrying, and panic attacks.
My regular rate is $120/50 min session. I do not work with insurance companies, but can provide you with a monthly statement that can be submitted for possible reimbursement.
Please call or email to schedule an appointment. Initial phone session is free: (408) 763-4116, therapy@kanecooley.com
