I am a licensed clinical psychologist with a private practice in Chestnut Hill/Philadelphia, PA. I received my B.S. in psychology from Michigan State University and my Ph.D. in Clinical/Community Psychology from Boston University. I am Professor of Psychology at Arcadia University and have taught in the Graduate Program in Counseling Psychology since 1993.
Interests: I provide individual, feminist, multicultural therapy with an integrative, evidence-based approach, which encompasses cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, humanistic, and family theories. I have 30+ years of counseling experience in community mental health centers, college counseling centers, and private practice. I have 30+ years of experience training, supervising, and mentoring counselors. I have worked with adults of all ages dealing with depression, anxiety, and stress as well as adult survivors of sexual abuse/rape and clients exploring racial and sexual identity (I have done research on biracial identity).I have worked in several college/university counseling centers with undergraduate and graduate students dealing with a variety of issues including emotional issues related to academic underachievement.
