Stephanie Jones

Stephanie Hickerson-Jones is a Board Certified Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with a Master's of Science in Nursing and Master's of Social Work Degree. She has a passion for mental health and is compassionate towards her patients in addition to having being committed to providing quality and comprehensive mental health services across the life span to include Adults, Pediatrics, Adolescents and Geriatrics. Stephanie possesses strong clinical skills , effective communication skills to build and establish rapport with patients and families. She follows a patient centered approach along with evidence based research guidelines blended with 27 years of clinical experience and personal observation . She continues to be enthusiastic for learning cutting edge science as well as knowledge involving emotional, psychological and social well-being and how it impacts every stage of life. As a PMHNP-BC across the lifespan, Stephanie continuously looks to promote mental health in the community through being an advocate, educator, addressing determinants of mental health problems and encouraging healthy behaviors. She has also had the opportunity to participate as a Board Member for a nonprofit health related organization, serving as clinical preceptor with several universities in addition to being apart of various professional nursing organizations. Stephanie specializes in Mood and Affective Disorders, Anxiety, ADHD, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Behavioral Disorders in Pediatrics/ Adolescence, PTSD and Psychotic Disorders. My overall goal for my patients is for them to feel empowered in addition to helping them to optimize their abilities to function and enjoy their life.
