William Abrokwa

William holds a Doctorate in Nursing Practice. He is an APRN specializing in psychiatric/mental health. He has over ten years of experience working in behavioral health nursing with diverse populations. He obtained his Master’s in Nursing- FNP and Post-Graduate Certification in PMHNP from Chamberlain University and Frontier Nursing University, respectively. Mental health, addiction, and empowering patients through effective patient-provider engagement have always been his passion. His doctoral project was on effective depression management in older adults using shared decision-making and antidepressant compliance. Having lived in two separate countries and cultures, He has come to appreciate the constraints faced by people living with people with mental health conditions. He believes in a holistic and humane approach to mental health care delivery, making clients partners in treatment decisions and direction.
