Let me explain first what the monthly budget of PIFRA DDO is and what the intention is, so that we know the terminologies. PIFRA stands for the Financial Accounting & Auditing scheme, while DDO stands for the Drawing and disbursing officer. The program has now been turned into the Financial Accounting & Budgeting System (FABS) by the General Accountant Pakistan Revenues (AGPR).
PIFRA’s goal was to provide government employees with access to their salary slips or loans. In fact, anyone who had a contract or proposal with Pakistan’s government became aware of this.
