Jan Sedlacek, the founder of Cornerstone Financial Group, Inc. graduated Rutgers University in 1975 with a BA in history. Jan entered the life insurance business at that time and earned the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation in 1978 and the ChFC (chartered Financial Consultant) designation in 1983 from The American College.
Alan Meckler, Jan’s partner joined the firm in 1988. Alan graduated from Northeastern University in Boston in 1982 with a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering. Alan earned the CLU (Chartered Life Underwriter) designation in 1997 and his ChFC (Chartered Financial Consultant) designation in 2006. He earned his CFP® designation in 2005.
Our company serves many clients in the Northwest Jersey and Manhattan area, however we have clients in all areas of New Jersey and New York.
