James Richard acharias has been a qualified Solicitor since 2003 and specialise in Family Law.

James currently works for NYAS as one half of the NYAS Guardian solely acting on behalf of children as their rule 16.4 Guardian ad Litem in the family courts. The cases I deal with at NYAS are the most complex and challenging cases in Family Law.

He is passionate about Family Law. As a child I experienced significant emotional harm due to parental conflict and alienation. I understand first-hand the impact of domestic violence, substance abuse and relationship breakdown on parents and children. I also understand the consequences of emotional harm on children. My approach to family law therefore is child-centred.
