Dr. Amy Denicke received her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from Life University in Atlanta, GA in 2011. Prior to her chiropractic degree, she lived in the Roaring Fork Valley for 10 years and owned Core Flex Inc, a functional training gym in Aspen ,CO as a corrective exercise practitioner, NSCA certified personal trainer, and neuromuscular/myofascial release therapist. She received her soft tissue education from Tom Meyers, St. John, and John Barnes. She also studied at the CHEK Institute as a Level 2 CHEK Practitioner. She has worked with professional athletes, nationally ranked swimmers, elite rock climbers, rugby Super League athletes, Olympic ski racers, and ultra runners.
Dr. Amy is board certified with the Institute for Functional Medicine (IFMCP) as well as Functional Medicine University (CFMP). She is able to utilize diagnostic specialty testing in order to reliably diagnose many common complaints seen in chiropractic offices, such as pain, inflammation, and neurological dysfunction.
When outcomes of chiropractic adjusting, physical therapy, yoga, and massage are limited and complaints persist due to a metabolic dysfunction (thyroid issues, adrenal fatigue, gastrointestinal problems, arthritis, headaches, etc…), it is Dr. Amy’s goal to solve the mystery by leaving no stone unturned while fully investigating the body and its innately driven adaptations.
By utilizing a combination of manual and energetic chiropractic techniques, functional diagnostic medicine, myofascial/trigger point release, muscle energy release, and neurological stretch techniques, dysfunction is reduced while physiological and mental performance is improved. Dr. Amy will go steps further by incorporating an active care plan of corrective exercise instruction, nutritional counseling, and lifestyle management when called for.
