Dr. James Oberman is a highly-trained, board-certified otoloaryngologist. He proudly served his country for the past 25 years in the United States Navy, during which he had the distinct privilege of caring for our nation’s heroes and their families/beneficiaries. Dr. Oberman has served as a comprehensive Otolaryngologist for all ages (neonates through geriatrics) in Virginia, Connecticut, Florida, and Maryland as well as overseas in Okinawa, Japan. He had the honor of serving as the President of the Medical Staff of Naval Hospital Jacksonville, FL, during which time he became part of the Northeast Florida Community Collaborative, focused on improving Communication in Healthcare and the overall patient experience. He has extensive Patient Safety and Quality experience, serving as the National Capital Region’s inaugural Clinical Quality physician champion. He was honored by the American Academy of Otolaryngology as a “young physician leader” in 2013 and “Best of Otolaryngology” by Jacksonville Magazine in 2011. Dr. Oberman treats patients with the full range of ear, nose and throat problems.
