Disabled in a house fire in which reciever 3rd degree burns over 35% of body all below the waist. Left leg almost amputated due to complete melting out of muscle, tendon, and ligament. Could not accept a knee replacement. Second opinion was able to create a "knee" by connecting a calf muscle to the petella.
