Dr. Heath Whitfield was born and raised in Weatherford, Oklahoma. He attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University prior to receiving his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Oklahoma School of Dentistry; graduating with distinction.
Having a passion for children’s dentistry, Dr. Whitfield decided to continue his education and was accepted to a two year, Pediatric Dental Residency at the Virginia Commonwealth University/Medical College of Virginia hospitals, where he was appointed chief resident. Along with an advanced specialty degree in Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Whitfield performed cutting edge research in pediatric sedation earning him an additional degree—Master of Science in Dentistry. As of 2012, Dr. Whitfield is a Board Certified Member of The American Board of Pediatric Dentistry.
Dr. Whitfield is certified in PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support), and is an active member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry, American Dental Association, Oklahoma Dental Association and the Oklahoma Association of Pediatric Dentists.
Dr. Whitfield’s goal is to provide excellent dental care and a great dental experience for all children and teens in a fun environment. He believes in early childhood intervention and preventive dentistry during the growth and development years, assuring a healthy smile for life.
Dr. Whitfield enjoys spending time with his wife, Annie, son Wyatt and their two boxer dogs Avery and Riggins. He also enjoys playing golf and is an avid sports fan. The Whitfield's are members at the Coffee Creek Church in Edmond.
