James Kingman, MS, LAPC, NCC
James has been a therapist at the Atlanta Center for Eating Disorders (ACE) since 2013, providing individual therapy and leading several groups. James is also on staff at Care and Counseling Center of Georgia (CCCG). He holds a Master's degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University and is a member of the American Counseling Association, Chi Sigma Iota International Honor Society and Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society. James is a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor (LAPC) practicing under the Direction of Dr. Rick Kilmer and Supervision by Dr. Linda Buchanan.

Interests: Drawing from both his life experience and education in counseling, James uses various theoretical approaches including cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal and existential therapy, working to meet clients wherever they are in the recovery process. He strives to address the complexities of mental disorders while assisting clients in determining their critical needs and alternative options for nurturing and healing themselves. James has experience addressing such co-existing challenges as OCD, depression, anxiety disorders, trauma and family of origin issues. James is also active with the LGTBQ community and is a lifetime member of the LGBTQ Therapist Resource Group in Atlanta, GA.
