Dr. Irwin is a board-certified adult psychiatrist and is accepting new patients, providing both medication management as well as individual psychotherapy as needed. Dr. Irwin is able to see patients in her local Pennsylvania office as well as remotely and securely and privately via her telepsychiatry practice (MindConnectMD Telepsychiatry) for patients located anywhere in Arizona, California, and Pennsylvania. Soon, patients in Virginia will be able to receive care from Dr. Irwin.
Each patient’s care is individually tailored in order to seek a creative pathway to improvement. In the end, the goal is for individuals to leave the office more educated and empowered to become active decision-makers in their own care. While available for treatment of any emotional ailment, specific areas of interest are adult ADD, mood disorders, anxiety, life transitions, PTSD, multicultural issues, and stress management.
Appointments may be made either by telephone (888-275-2578) or by scheduling directly via my website (http://abbyirwinmd.com). The initial consultation is scheduled for 60 minutes. If patients wish to continue under my care, the frequency and duration of appointments vary according to need. Our office is fully automated including electronic scheduling and prescription writing. Regular and all controlled scripts may be delivered electronically to pharmacies.
Dr. Irwin has the ability to provide care via secure video conferencing as part of MindConnectMD Telepsychiatry LLC (http://MindConnectMDTelepsychiatry.com). This can be helpful for patients who struggle leaving their home for a variety of reasons or if they are away for any reason (i.e., on summer break or sabbatical) and are in need. Some prefer video conferencing while others may prefer the easier mode of telephone calls. Dr. Irwin aware of the great need for access to psychiatric care and started this venture to provide convenient, secure, private, and quality care for my previous patients as well as new patients in underserved areas.
Dr. Irwin is also available as a corporate consultant to provide in-house assessments and advice as to the management of interpersonal or other work-related complexities as well as a consultant for forensic or legal cases.
Dr. Irwin works on a fee-for-service basis and provides a superbill for direct reimbursement to patients for insurance companies.
