Diana Lang
I am a spiritual teacher and counselor and the director/owner of LifeWorks - Center for Growth in Los Angeles, California. I’ve been teaching meditation and yoga since 1980 and conducts seminars in the United States and internationally on meditation, body awareness, stress reduction, and relationship development. I bring a fresh perspective to ancient teachings that people have been studying and practicing for thousands of years, making these age-old techniques accessible for everyone. I believe that spirituality can be easy. My book and CD set, OPENING TO MEDITATION – A GENTLE, GUIDED APPROACH, published by New World Library in 2004, creates a high-level system of meditation and gives practical tools and applications that enable the new student to have a powerful experience right away.

conscious moments
I like to think of life's momentous experiences like beads on a string. Those moments that are important, valuable or rare are like beautiful colored beads that we lovingly thread onto this string of beads. Each bead symbolically represents a moment, an experience, a special person. As life goes ...
FIRES AND LAWSUITS AND BEARS - Stess and the Breath

Raging wildfires tore through the sage and the wild sumac that go up like firecrackers from this long drought we've been in. I watched from a half mile away as great, chugging helicopters filled to the br...
Rhythm of Life
The breath is a cycle.Inhale . . . exhale. It is like a little life. A little experience. The breath teaches us about cycles. It teaches us that if we inhale, we must exhale. That something has a beginning and an end. It teaches us that life goes on, even after we exhale, another breath will be t...
Nature's Rhythm
I was at the local grocery store today and noticed they were playing Christmas carols. Not every song, but mixed in. It kind of snuck up on me as I found myself humming along to "White Christmas." I'm thinking to myself, it's not even Halloween yet. All of nature is winding down around us and we ...
Can't Sleep? Meditation as an Antidote for Insomnia
One of my students called me the other day from Paris asking me to please send a copy of my meditation CD to her as quickly as possible. She asked if I would send it overnight or whatever way was fastest to get it to her seven-year-old son. It was an emergency, she told me. They had forgotten it ...
