I bring over 25 years of hands-on Medical, Teaching and Research knowledge in Hospital, Medical School, Private Industry, and Non Profit settings. Your Nutritional Health knowledge is no less important as any other Medical knowledge. How, why, when, and what you eat can effect every part of you or your children's bodies, today and into your future. Many people are not aware that the generic titles “nutritionist” or “nutrition consultant” are unregulated titles which can be used by anyone with any background or experience. A Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN), on the other hand, is a regulated, specific health-care professional credential, authorized by the American Dietetic Association. An RDN is referred by, and consults with, physicians and can submit to insurance companies. Because of my training, I am able to integrate medical information, current scientific research, and years of experience and apply them to your unique life.
I have worked with all age populations with experience helping you deal with Simple and Complex Weight Loss, G.I. Disorders, Pre-Natal Nutrition, High Cholesterol, Healthy Meal Planning, Anorexia Diabetes, and Heart Disease. I also am a Community Educator and writer and give very well received educational Supermarket Tours.
I am a biologist at my core. This makes me unique as I not only have many years of diverse hands on experience and teaching but I have many years of Nutrition Research experience I bring into my teaching. I have also completed the 200-hour yoga teacher-training course at the University of Maryland School of Medicine Center for Integrative Medicine. I now have the unique capability to blend the pure science of nutrition with the balance of alternative medicine techniques to reach mind, body, and soul.
No one size fits all. I make it work for you.
