518 Acupuncture is a high-quality, low cost Chinese medical clinic that was created to be accessible to a greater population of the Capital District. Different services are offered, including community acupuncture and private appointments, giving patients comfortable options for both payment and treatment setting. Chinese medical bodywork, herbal recommendations, dietary therapy and qi gong instruction are also available.

A note from Ashley Wells, LAc., owner and acupuncturist:

I first experienced acupuncture when I was in graduate school at SUNY New Paltz studying biology. I was blown away by its effectiveness. Acupuncture was intriguing to me and I often questioned just how it worked. I continued with treatments, completed my graduate studies, traveled to China and worked in my field for a while. Soon enough, I made the decision to further explore Chinese medicine and now here I am!

A native of Saratoga, I find upstate NY to be a special place. The Adirondacks are especially dear to me – you will often see pictures of the park in the clinic and on the website. There was a time when I knew I could benefit from treatments but I could not afford them. I believe healthcare should be affordable, therefore I strive to offer services that are financially accessible to a greater population of the Capital Region.
