Angela Broussard, LCSW-BACS, is a recognized clinician, author, consultant, and motivational speaker with over 16 years of experience working in the Social Work profession. Mrs. Broussard has earned a B.A. in Social Work and an M.S.W. (Masters in Social Work). She is licensed to practice in Louisiana as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Board Approved Clinical Supervisor (LA LCSW#5466)
by the The Louisiana State Board of LCSW Examiners.
Mrs. Broussard has worked in the public school system for 14 years, provided contract services with the District Attorney’s office, Office of Community Services ,provided behavioral health counseling for the U.S. Army, and has written several grants for new behavioral health programs. She has written several articles to address the needs of youth and families, and designed training manuals and materials for professionals. Mrs. Broussard frequently provides training seminars and workshops for professionals state wide.
During volunteer work with U.S. veterans, she was inspired to serve her country in the U.S. Army. She enlisted in the Louisiana National Guard and after
her return in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, she became active with the Louisiana Military Honor Guard. She is currently providing counseling and consulting services for Active Duty and Reserve military service members and families.
She is currently the CEO of CHOICES, Inc. working with Military families and children at various military sites and operates a part time private practice in the Acadiana region.
Broussard has been a member of National Association of Social Workers for fourteen years and served as the NASW-LA Lafayette Regional Chair for three years. She is a volunteer for American Red Cross, Capital Area Human Services Recovery Network,Katrina Angels organization, and Give an Hour Veterans project. Mrs. Broussard specializes in Disaster and Recovery and Crisis Intervention.
Due to her accomplishments in social work, she was selected as the NASW-LA Social Worker of the Year (2005), Lafayette City-Parish President’s Distinguished Citizen,Commission on the Needs of Women, Woman of Excellence, Career Achievement, and Dorothy Schenthal Service Award.
