There are many people who suffer from physical, chemical or emotional imbalances which do not respond to mainstream treatment. Our job is to locate and correct the cause of numerous health complaints such as neck pain, low back/hip pain, elbow/knee pain, headaches, numbness, and stress to name a few.

CHIROPRACTIC FOR CHILDREN

At Filter Chiropractic we firmly believe in protecting a child’s body by making sure they have the best possible functioning nervous system and musculoskeletal frame work. Unfortunately, children do not always verbalize exactly what they feel when they are sore, uncomfortable or in pain. There are certain “clues” that we can watch for to gain more understanding in this area, such as postural changes, only wanting to breast feed from one side, being off-balance, and running with a limp.  But just like with adults, if the underlying cause is left alone for too long it will grow into a bigger problem.

Although the basic premise for chiropractic care is the same whether the patient is 80 years old or 8 months old, the ever-growing and changing active little bodies of children have distinct needs depending on their stage of development.

Starting with a child's first moments of life, the birthing process is physically strenuous for a newborn.  After that they are faced with learning to sit, stand, crawl and walk.  Once they grow into small people they are bouncing down stairs, jumping out of swings, playing contact sports, wearing heavier backpacks and dealing with the stress of more daily responsibilities.

We make a point to be sure that all the falls, stress, trauma and physical demands that your children endure do not stop them from being kids.

SPORTS CHIROPRACTIC

Most people know that chiropractors are great at helping people recover from injuries, but there is an aspect to chiropractic care that is much more than mechanical neck and low back pain. Chiropractic adjustments help to improve overall function of the nervous system, which, in turn, improves the efficiency of the communication between the brain and the body.

With a fraction of a second meaning the difference between gold and silver, many of today's top athletes are adjusted regularly during training and before each event.  But you don't have to be an Olympic athlete to benefit from care.

On any given morning athletes arise with the sun to do what they love. High school swimmers plunge into the pool, moms do yoga to prepare themselves for the day ahead, men meet after work to practice their golf swing and runners head for the horizon leaving their troubles behind. 
  
No matter the age, body type, sport or motivation, there is one thing that all athletes have in common; they all want to feel good and succeed. Getting adjusted keeps athletes at the top of their game through pain relief, accelerated recovery and performance enhancement. 
 
At Filter Chiropractic we work with kids, weekend athletes, high school, college and pro athletes. We use extremity adjusting as an integral part of our care.  We are the only Mobile Chiropractic Practice in the Midlands that offers extremity adjustments!   Extremity adjustments are implemented to care for shoulders, feet, ankles, hips, knees, fingers and wrists. The key in any joint adjustment is to help restore normal motion to joints that have become locked-up or injured. This reduces pain, improves motion, relaxes muscles, reduces nerve interference, and promotes healing.

DOT PHYSICALS

Companies with drivers who fall under the Department of Transportation’s (“DOT”) oversight have specific industry requirements such as a DOT physical.  These physicals must be performed by a DOT approved “medical examiner” who is listed on the National Registry. The medical examiners have met specific requirements and standards set forth by the federal government.

Our experience in occupational health allows us to be part of your company’s one-stop-shop for all your hiring needs. As a mobile health unit we can perform all exams and test on-site.  With easy scheduling, you can select the  best time for your drivers and we will meet you with all the appropriate equipment at the location of your choice.
