During the past thirty-five hears of providing chiropractic care for my patients I have integrated many other natural health care approaches in order to maximize my patients' response to care.  The foundation of this approach is an understanding that optimal physical, mental, emotional and spiritual health results from having a poised mind housed in a body of clean habits, stabilized nerve energies and balanced chemical function.
To achieve this state of optimal health requires an integrative natural health care approach that is based upon a functional understanding of how the different systems within the body work together to achieve a state of optimal health.  Although we do use natural means to relieve symptoms, our focus is rather to improve the ability of the body's various systems to work with each other in a state of balance.  This then results not only in symptomatic relief, but also in a progressive improvement in function and increased levels of health and vitality.
As a chiropractor, my initial focus is on the body's structural balance, because that effects the function of the entire body.  I also focus on healthy diet and lifestyle choices, posture, sleep habits, exercise, etc. because they also affect the function of all of our organ systems as well as our vulnerability to the various "diseases of aging" including diabetes, heart disease, cancer, and auto-immune disease. 
I also devote considerable attention on identifying and correcting imbalances in adrenal, thyroid and sex hormone function, because they not only have a powerful effect upon our physical health, they also greatly affect our mental and emotional health and our capacity for spiritual growth.  This is due to the effect these hormones have on the balance of the chemicals in the brain ( called neurotransmitters) that are responsible for our mood, emotions and ability to think rationally and clearly.  In fact, these neurotransmitters greatly determine who we are and who we are capable of becoming.
Those with neurotransmitter imbalances often report symptoms such as insomnia, depression, anxiety or other psychiatric or psychological symptoms, a sense of disconnection from who they truly are, an inability to connect with higher thoughts such as goals, desires, plans for the future, values, ethics, ideals, passion and even love.  They may experience themselves as living mostly ou of fear, stuck in survival mode, merely reacting and responding to their environment without regard to consequences, just attempting to get by until the next day and no longer feeling like the person they remember they used to be.  With appropriate care they are able to find themselves again, and once again begin living a life worth living.
Another treatment approach I am pleased to offer my patients is Spinal Decompression Therapy, which is a very effective non-surgical treatment for spinal disc bulges, disc herniations, protrusions and lumbar facet syndrome.
