For example, we recently established  our revolutionary   “Dry Eye Clinic” with the addition of the “LipiFlow” system for the treatment dry eyes and ocular surface disorders. This is the hottest technology in the field today and we are among the first to offer it in this region. It can provide long-lasting results in dry eye treatment for a fraction of the cost of eye drops over time. This is only one of the many advanced technologies you’ll find in our state-of-the-art offices multiply-recognized as “Best of the Bay Finalists” with locations in Crestview, Gulf Breeze, and Pensacola.

Our surgeons, care team, and partners in care are highly qualified, highly trained and highly skilled in their specialties.  Dr. David Mills brings an integrated range of training and experience to Northwest Florida, with advanced multi-specialty training and board certification. He is an accomplished clinician, speaker and researcher, having personally published over 20 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters with speaking engagements across the nation. Board-Certified, American Board of Ophthalmology Certified, American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) Fellow, American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (ASOPRS) Fellow, American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery Fellow, American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Dr. Suzanne Day adds the highest possible level of quality care leading the optometric division of the practice. A well-revered clinician, Dr. Day’s vast experience in sports vision (including being the optometrist for the Anaheim ducks), is only one facet of her wide range of skills. Members of the Mills Eye + Facial Surgery care team speak regularly at national and international meetings.

Our offices are equipped with the latest technology available, both in terms of diagnostic equipment and computerized integration and are often referred to as models, with other practices visiting to learn from us as well as being recognized by other industry-leading companies. For example, we have be designated a Baush and Lomb Crystalens Center of Excellence. Crystalens is one of the many “Premium” IntraOcular Lens Implants we offer to patients having cataract surgery. “Premium” implants may reduce and frequently eliminate the need for glasses following cataract surgery. There is even a version to address astigmatism.
