Whetstone Fitness is a locally owned and operated 24 hour fitness facility, with a no-frills, results oriented approach. We are located on Black Lake Blvd in West Olympia.

Donnie Whetstone discovered weight training over four decades ago. For the last 25 years, Donnie has been delivering his own proven method as a professional trainer, to Thurston and Pierce Counties.  His business philosophy is simple, “Give members a reason to come back…and keep coming back”.

Our goal is to give members what they ask for and deliver what they pay for. At Whetstone Fitness there are no long-term contracts, no sales push and no hassle.

We are confident that the members’ commitment to their fitness goals will do the rest. And we are happy to offer instruction, guidance and a wide variety of support. Whether it’s Group Fitness, Empowerment Training, Personal Training, Contest & Events Prep or Access memberships, Whetstone Fitness will deliver great service and a well-equipped facility for its members.

Personal Training

Do you need motivation and accountability to stay committed? Our personal trainers will motivate, inspire and encourage you to reach and even surpass your fitness goals. We offer training packages for members and non-members. Our exclusive Personal Training Membership gives you the opportunity to work one on one with an experienced trainer, up to 5 times per week, at a discounted rate.

Empowerment Membership

Are you serious about reaching your fitness goals but lack training experience? Our signature membership will provide you with the guidance and coaching to help you achieve those goals. By the end of your Empowerment program development, you will be completely confident in your ability to work our unique, proprietary system. No other local gym offers this level of service.

Access Membership

If you have been looking for a clean, well-equipped facility and prefer to train on your own, we offer a simple, no-frills Access Membership.
