DR EKO'S PATIENT CARE PHYLOSOPHY:
I was raised watching and learning, from a family of generational medical care givers. I was taught to be empathic, sensitive and to see patients as people who could be members of my own family. This has impacted my patient care philosophy . I deem it a privilege to be able to use my time, dedication and training to treat and care for my patients, to the best of my ability.
    
I follow the guidelines and standard of care for diagnosing, treatment, medication, procedures, therapy and examine many other factors that are unique to the individual patient, before making treatment recommendations to yield optimal results.
I like to listen to and value my patient's input. I educate and encourage my patients to be involved in all aspects of their medical care. 
  
I also work closely with other healthcare specialists such as cardiologists, urologists, orthopedics, psychiatrists, surgeons, nephrologists, pharmacists to provide a comprehensive medical care.
Many conditions require the patient to be followed by a specialist. For example, issues related to the heart may warrant that the patient works with a cardiologist. Those patients with heart disease will undoubtedly work with a cardiologist. Gastrointestinal issues may need to be followed by a gastroenterologist but that depends on the overall condition. Some issues, such as GERD may be entirely treatable without the assistance of a specialist.

If a specialist is needed for any chronic or acute illness, that specialist will keep Dr. Eko up to date on any changes or recommendations so that Dr. Eko can continue to work effectively with the patient as it relates to managing the condition.

Dr. Eko’s bedside manner and attentive nature make it easier to manage ongoing and chronic issues. Patients are made to feel comfortable coming in to the office and recognize that he is ’s best doctor for treating ongoing issues.
