Scott Edwards is a llifelong Memphian. After graduating from Overton High School, he obtained a Biology degree from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville in 1978. After graduation from UT Dental School in 1982, he opened his private dental practice.

Dr. Edwards and his wife, Margaret, have three children, Ryan, Taylor and Maggie. Their family are active members of Christ United Methodist Church. Scott has served on the Administrative Board, Missions Committee, and Recreation Committee of his church. He has participated in numerous Medical/Dental mission trips to El Salvador, China and the Dominican Republic. He helped establish the dental clinic at the Church Health Center and has served on its Board.

Dr. Edwards and staff routinely attend continuing education classes to learn new techniques and cutting edge technology. We will continue to grow and improve our level of care with every opportunity. It is our goal to provide our patients with comprehensive examinations and treatment options so that our patients can make a well informed decision about their treatment.

DENTAL RESTORATION:

Fillings are used to restore a portion of a tooth damaged by decay or tramatic injury. Silver and gold fillings used to be our only choices for restoring decayed teeth. Today, technology provides for white, natural looking fillings using composite resin. Because composites are bonded, you retain more of your natural, healthy tooth.

Implants are metal posts or frames that are surgically placed beneath your gums which fuse to the bone of your jaw and act as artificial roots. Since they fuse to the jawbone, they offer stable support and won't slip or shift in your mouth. This secure fit allows for a more comfortable, natural feel.
