Traditional cardiac evaluations rely on cholesterol and stress tests as markers in detecting cardiac disease. However these evaluations are based on the misconceptions about heart disease and stroke that cholesterol causes heart attacks, stress tests can determine cardiac disease, and that mild to moderate vessel blockages are of little or no concern.

Due to a variety of insurance issues, physicians throughout the country are often prevented from offering laboratory studies, cardiovascular tests, and substantive time to help them identify the possibility of strokes and heart attacks in specific patients. Because of this, these same physicians are unable to diagnose or treat the triggers of strokes and heart disease in an effort to prevent or eradicate the risk of their occurrence all together.

With Dr. Anne-Marie Feyrer-Melk, MD at the helm, the Optimal Heart Attack & Stroke Prevention Center is changing everything about the way we look at the heart by providing the most advanced diagnostics and therapies in heart attack and stroke prevention available today. She is the first and only cardiologist in Arizona to design a program that provides screenings, specialized technologies and the research time necessary to comprehensively evaluate heart and blood vessel health, thereby identifying and assessing cardiac risks before tragedy strikes.

No amount of disease in any artery is ever normal. Through the use of advanced inflammatory, lipid, genetic, saliva and other testing, heart health is comprehensively evaluated and cardiac risks are identified and treated before they emerge. Dr. Feyrer-Melk has been a practicing cardiologist in the Scottsdale and Phoenix, Arizona areas since 2000 and has welcomed the transition to Concierge Cardiology because it allows her a more hands on approach to the care and treatment of her patients.

As a Concierge Cardiologist she is redefining what a cardiology practice can be. She recognizes that trust grows from deep diagnostic knowledge and effective, solutions-oriented treatment is only possible through use of a concierge approach. Dramatically improving the lives of her patients is paramount, from discovery to diagnosis to treatment. Our concierge practice is significant to people who want to know if they are living with heart risks, or those who need to know how best to treat the risks they are living with.

Anne-Marie Feyrer-Melk, M.D. received her medical degree from the University of Wisconsin Medical School, and her internship, residency, and fellowship training were completed at Banner Samaritan Medical Center in Phoenix, with a focus on cardiovascular diseases.
