Dr. Silver is by far the best Fibromyalgia/Rheumatologist I have ever encountered. It's so good to know a Doctor that cares, listens and addresses your needs. I have known Dr. Silver for many years. He is always tennative and caring. You can't go wrong with him. He really cares about his patients. Plus he is always aware of new products for your aliments. I'm looking forward to a long relationship with him as my doctor.

I am a fibro patient. Roslyn, the nurse, is terrific and listens (yay!) Dr. Silverman is very bright but rather brusque and seems a bit impatient when answering my questions. I think I am bright, too, but he makes me feel like my questions are illogical or pointless, sometimes.

On the other hand, he is THE guy in Southern California for fibro. He knows about coming treatments, and is able to prescribe some meds befor they come into common use. I will trade the lack of bedside manner for his knowledge and access to the newest information about fibro-- my usual rheumatologist was nice but not very knowledgeable.

Dr Silverman is unable to diagnose. His "fibromialgia specialty" agenda supersedes any patient needs. He treats every patient as if they had fibromialgia. If you are in pain, don't waste your time. I spent years with this guy. Just because he went to a good school doesn't mean he's a competent physician.
